They produce some of the finest “trompe-l’oeil” ceramics in the world. “Trompe-l’oeil" means to fool the eye in French, and these ceramic masterpieces mimic the beauties of Nature so closely that you won’t believe your eyes!
The origins of the art of trompe-l'oeil, whether in sculpture or in paintings are lost in the mists of time. Artists have long mimicked nature to fool the eye, tease the mind or simply express an admiration of nature’s beauty. For some fifty years, the Figučres family has been creating breathtaking compositions in “grand-feu” enamels. Their long experience has resulted in an ultra-realistic style of “glazed earthenware illusions.”

Each piece is an unique work of art and a masterpiece of the art of “trompe-l’oeil.” The history of the trompe-l'oeil genre dates back beyond written records, but France has given us many masters in this artform.
